“…the light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it.” (John 1:5)
Do you want a place, in your heart and soul and in your home to break away from the craziness of this year and the holiday season? During this Advent Season, IHM will have a live-streamed evening series titled LIGHT A CANDLE. It will occur on Wednesday evenings (December 2,9,16 & 23) from 7 to 8 PM. It will be accessible through the parish website and Facebook page.
The setting is the altar in the church. It will include a candle lighting, music from members of our parish, a reading and reflection by Deacon Steve, Benediction and a time of personal and communal prayer. It will last one hour, although it is designed in parts (7-7:25 introduction, candle lighting, reading and reflection; 7:25-7:35 benediction; 7:35-8 prayer and conclusion) so that you may participate to the extent that you can make the time. At the time the candle is lit, you are invited to light your own candle (preferably purple). We invite you to participate in prayer and in the presence of the Holy Eucharist to take a moment outside of Sunday Mass to rest and ponder the light that is our Lord Jesus Christ during this Advent Season. We hope you can join us. LIGHT A CANDLE An Advent Series
