The Blessing of Throats through the intercession of St. Blaise
 
After all the Masses on the weekend of February 1-2 and on the actual feast day of St. Blaise on Monday, February 3 ^rd, you may have your throat blessed.  Blessed candles are touched to the throat and the following prayer said:  Through the intercession of Saint Blaise, bishop and martyr, may God deliver you from every disease of the throat and from every other illness: in the name of the Father, and of the Son, + and of the Holy Spirit.
