Sunday, June 28, 2020 – The Thirteenth Sunday of Ordinary Time
June27,2020
Dear Parishioners and Friends,
This weekend we are happy to have once again public Masses at IHM. There are Masses on Saturday, June 27 at 5pm and on Sunday, June 28 at 9:30am. This will be our schedule for now. I extend my personal welcome back to all those who are able to attend. Please carefully read our website on the requirements to attend before, during, and after the Masses. Your full cooperation is needed for things to run smoothly.
My records show that our last public Masses for Sunday were on March 15 and our very last public Mass was on the morning of Tuesday, March 17, the Solemnity of St. Patrick, at 8:15am. Yes, it has been awhile! I am glad that St. Patrick, co-patron of the Archdiocese, has been looking over us all this time. I am confident that the Immaculate Heart of Mary has been reaching out to us to sustain us with her pure love, her loving heart. We have never been alone.
As we move ahead, I thank all those who have supported our humble ministry with prayers, friendship, and financial support. Your renewed support of the parish is much needed, as we make plans to march forward.
After these many months to pray and reflect, I am particularly convinced that, our Holy Catholic Faith is more important than ever before. If we are to survive the challenges to our faith, we must daily take up the cross and follow him. Now is the time for us to rise up and put aside lesser things. Our lives need to be Christocentric. Now is the time for men and women, boys and girls, to proclaim that we are champions for Jesus Christ and the Gospel. Now is not a time for cowards. We are all called to live as saints, heroes and heroines for Christ. Please join me in furthering the Kingdom of Light during these hard times. I believe in the triumph of love, the triumph of the Cross! Let us stand tall together.
