Matthew 28: 5-6 Respondens autem Angelus, dixit mulieribus: Nolite timere vos: scio enim quod Jesum, qui crucifixus est, quaeritis: non est hic: surrexit enim, sicut dixit. But the angel said to the women, “Do not be afraid; for I know that you seek Jesus who was crucified. He is not here; for He has risen, as He said”.

Mt. 17:5-8 (Mk. 9:7-8; Luke 9: 34-36a) Ecce nubes lucida obumbravit eos. Et ecce vox de nube, dicens: Hic est Filius meus dilectus, in quo bene complacui: ipsum audite. Et audientes discipuli, ceciderunt in faciem suam, et timuerunt valde. Et accessit Jesus, et tetigit eos, dixitque eis: Surgite, et nolite timere. Levantes autem oculos suos, neminem viderunt, nisi solum Jesum. Behold a bright cloud overshadowed them. And lo, a voice out of the cloud, saying: This is My beloved Son, in Whom I am well pleased: hear ye Him. And the disciples hearing, fell upon their face and were very much afraid. And Jesus came and touched them, and said to them: Arise, and fear not. And they lifting up their eyes saw no one, but only Jesus.

Matthew 4: 3- 4 (Luke 4:3-4) Et accedens tentator, dixit ei: Si Filius Dei es, dic ut lapides isti panes fiant. Qui respondens, dixit: Scriptum est: Non in solo pane vivit homo: sed in omni verbo, quod procedit de ore Dei. And the tempter coming said to Him: If Thou be the Son of God, command that these stones be made bread. Who answered and said: It is written: Not in bread alone doth man live, but in every word that proceedeth from the mouth of God.

We saw His star at its rising and have come to do Him homage. (Mt.2:2) Vidimus stellam eius in oriente, et venimus adorare Dominum.

Luke 2:14: Gloria in altissimis Deo, et in terra pax hominibusvoluntatis; Glory to God in the highest; and on earth peace to men of good will. John 1:14: Et Verbum caro factum est, et habitavit in nobis; And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us.

Philippians 4:4-5 Gaudete in Domino semper: iterum dico, gaudete. Dominus enim prope est. Rejoice in the Lord always; again I say, rejoice. Indeed, the Lord is near. Zephaniah 3:14 Shout for joy, O daughter Zion! Sing joyfully, O Israel! Be glad and exult with all your heart. Luke 3:18 Exhorting them in many other ways, he (John the Baptist) preached good news to the people.
