Parish Vocations Committee

“Heed the Call” Sunday 2001

...started a prayer campaign for vocations. Each week, a family or individual will take the “Heed the Call” bell home and pray for vocations during that week. We invite all parishoners to participate: contact information for sign-ups is on a card by the bell. Instructions and prayer cards are also by the bell.

Our parish formed a Parish Vocations Committee in 1999.

The task of the Committee is threefold:

To promote awareness of religious vocations in our Catholic community.
To pray for Church vocations and organize parish prayer services for this intention.
To periodically surface names of potential candidates for Church vocations and personally invite them to consider this special call.

The members of the Committee have already attended a training workshop on vocations offered by our Archdiocesan Office of Vocations. They will be sponsoring information opportunities.

If you know of someone who would like to begin the discernment process for a possible Church vocation, please contact the committee by calling the rectory.
